Get it quoted by SEAI installers
Describe the job once. It goes to SEAI-registered installers covering your county and they quote you directly — free to you, and nothing owed if you walk away.
How this works
SolarGreen is not a directory you browse — it is a way to get the same job priced by several installers without ringing round yourself.
1. You describe the job
County, property type, and what you want quoted — solar, battery, heat pump, EV charger, or a combination. The form beside this takes about two minutes.
2. It goes to SEAI-registered installers
Only installers on SEAI’s register can claim the grants, so those are the ones worth quoting a grant-funded job. You can check any installer against SEAI’s own published register before you sign anything.
3. They contact you directly
We do not sit in the middle of the quote and we do not mark anything up. If nobody comes back within a few days, tell us and we will chase it.
4. You compare and decide
Get at least three. The spread between quotes for the same array on the same roof is routinely thousands, and the cheapest is not automatically the one to take.
Before you accept a quote
- Check the installer appears on SEAI's published register of registered companies. The grant depends on it, and it takes a minute.
- Ask for the grant to be shown as a deduction on the quote, not as a promise you chase afterwards — and confirm who submits the SEAI application.
- Get the BER assessment sequencing in writing. Several grants require a pre-works BER, and starting work first forfeits them.
- Compare the inverter and panel warranties, not only the headline price. A ten-year difference in warranty is worth more than a few hundred euro off.
Working out what you qualify for first? Check the grants or run the payback.
